Learning to swim is a necessity for all Australians, especially children. It is a fun, life-long skill that encourages exercise and good health. It can also be life-saving.
Turramurra Learn to Swim offers lessons all year round, morning and afternoon, Monday to Saturday, which are half an hour in duration. All instructors are AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia qualified and provide a professional, safe and happy learning environment for your child.
TERM PROGRAMS
Our Swim School follows the NSW Public School Term dates for our weekly classes during the term. The terms are usually 9, 10 or 11 weeks long depending on public holidays.
We endeavour to book children into classes of similar age and ability. To determine what level is the most appropriate for your child, please see our CLASS LEVELS or to discuss your child’s swimming level please CONTACT US.

HOLIDAY INTENSIVE PROGRAMS
The Holiday Intensive Programs at Turramurra Learn to Swim are a great opportunity to consolidate your child’s swimming throughout the school holiday break.
Children attend a 30-minute lesson every day for four or five consecutive days. Children can be booked into one or more weeks of intensive lessons. These lessons are extremely beneficial for your child because they re-enforce skills learned each day. Instructors are able to concentrate on specific areas for improvement and introduce new skills.
Most parents see significant improvement in their child’s swimming ability throughout the week. New skills such as breathing to the side in freestyle and maintaining a high body position in the water in backstroke can be developed. The program is also of great benefit for children who are struggling or frightened as it helps them to gain confidence in the water. Children often progress from one ability level to the next during the Holiday Intensive Programs and their strength and stamina improve.

Holiday Course Dates:
Week 1: Tuesday 2 – Friday 5 January 2024 (4-day course)
Week 2: Monday 8 – Friday 12 January 2024 (5-day course)
Week 3: Monday 15 – Friday 19 January 2024 (5-day course)
Week 4: Monday 22 – Thursday 25 January 2024 (4-day course – Friday is Australia Day)
Saturdays: 6, 13, 22 and 27 January
